ROUTE DESCRIPTION:
Starting off from the village centre, we keep to the Hauptstraße in the direction of the Karerpass/Passo di Costalunga for a few minutes.
We soon leave the hectic street and take the forest path on the left-hand side for our main ascent to the Heinzenalm. Here, a brief break on the alpine meadow with lots of homemade
delicacies is recommended.
The ascent then continues briefl y to the Nigerjochstraße with a clear view of the Rosengarten and Latemar. The rest of the journey via the 1a walking path to the Nigerpass, where we take a left turn into the Forststraße, is pleasantly fl at from now onwards. The Forststraße continues running without any larger elevations past the Schillerhof and up to the wolf pit where the last wolves were caught in the 18th century.
After a short inspection, we keep to the direction of Pardellerhof, where yet another unbelievable panorama reveals itself.
Via the Hofzufahrt we again conveniently reach the starting point of this half-day tour at the rear end of the village.
