ROUTE DESCRIPTION:
We start off on this short, crisp tour in Welschnofen/Nova Levante and ride uphill along the Hauptstraße until we reach the „Einfahrt Kraftwerk“ (Power plant entry) fork.
From here, a pleasant forest road meanders upwards along the wooded slope, until we come across singularly beautifully situated meadow pastures at the Karerhöfen. The Latemar now rises before us in all its splendour. Via the Tempelweg, where many a Transalp stage has already led, we pass the Bewallerhof, and finally end up on the Sam. The latter is the forest/alpine meadow section managed by the local farmers.
After a short fl at ride, the highlight of this tour fi nally reveals itself to us: a very long, fl owing and pleasurable trail, which fl ows back into the Hauptstraße again after passing Eggen below Welschnofen/Nova Levante.
A number of kilometres of pure enjoyment, garnished with some technical highlights, such as hairpin bends and different levels. Reality then has then taken its hold on us again; we keep briefl y to the footpath next to the Hauptstraße and are back at the starting point less than 10 minutes later..
